How to throw things away?

There're some itens you cant throw on the ground. But if you get wood, for example, you can throw it on your farmland. If you want to discard an item, go to your inventory, select the item, then press C, choose the quantity and then hit enter

So there is no way to throw things away just discarding them on the ground like the old HM games?

You can directly discard item from the bag menu.

Nope, if you want to discard something, the only way is through the inventory menu. You can sell it, though. A lot of items are now sellable, like the farm weed, stone, grass, etc.

With the item selected?? When you select an item, on the inventory menu (Tab key), at the bottom of the screen it shows the actions you can do with it and its respective key. For me, when I click on a item, C is the discard option.
