Thank you for joining us for the launch of STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town! We can't wait for you to start your new life on the farm!

I just wanted to start a central support thread to gather any issues y'all are experiencing. Post as many details as you can here so we can better investigate on our end!

Useful debug information:

• DxDiag output as a .txt file
  
• Steps to reproduce the issue
  
• Screenshot of in-game settings and launcher settings
  
• Crash dump files
  Often located here %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps
  It would be from "STORY OF SEASONS Friends of Mineral Town.exe"

Here are some tips to make sure you're getting the best performance out of your PC!

• Make sure your graphics card is being fully utilized:
  
  • Stay updated with relevant drivers from your card manufacturer's website
    
  • Make sure you are using your main graphics card. Different graphics card manufacturers will have guides on how to always use your dedicated card.
• Add STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town to the exceptions of any antivirus program:
  
  • "STORY OF SEASONS Friends of Mineral Town.exe" is the executable file you need to add.
• Turn off any power saving mode your computer might be using:
  
  • Go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options
    
  • Balanced or High Performance profiles should be chosen. Any Power Saving mode will lower game performance.
• Make sure your PC has the latest Windows Update installed.

Updates

The new patch has a fix for users crashing on launch because their CPU are not capable of using AVX. Please check the patch notes for full details:

For those experiencing missing text on screens such as the medal wagering menu for the derbies, please make sure your PC is using the correct regional settings for your language. Here is how to check:

1) Go to your Control Panel
2) Select "Region" or click "Change date, time, or number formats"
3) Click "Administrative"
4) Click "Change System Locale"
5) Select your system locale in the drop-down list.

You will have to restart your PC to apply these settings. If you need additional assistance to find this setting, please email [e-mail]

The game hasn't launched at all and I am getting very frustrated! I have faith that it will work, but it is taking forever. Please fix this issue. A lot of Windows users are complaining.

because my 2nd PC (without external GPU) cant launch game, no error showed up

Any idea on how to make the game run in 21:9? I tried most of the most usual hacks (exe editing, cheat engine) but to no success. I wish the developer would had support for it native but apparently not

But i found the fix in the steam forum for another game, and after trying it I could get it to work.

Copy-pasted instructions:
-Go to Windows/System32
-Copy XAudio2_8.dll (Default for Windows 8.1)
-Paste it in the same directory
-Change the copy name to XAudio2_9.dll (this is the default one in Windows 10, I think that's the reason the game is only compatible with Windows 10)
-Problem solved

Already tried this so many times, but didn't work for me. My windows ver is 8.1

I don't know if I could play this game or not. It still show XAudio2_9.dll file missing

I found that there was a bug whereby when during horse race event, the language beside english are not able to show the number of medal. Hope to fix it.

In chinese input, there are still a lot of word not shown when typing in, wondering whether is a bug or dictionary not found.

So far, good gaming experience and thanks for game dev groups
