Aside from portrait and recolor mods, I'd really like to see a mod that lets your toddler grow. However, I'm not so sure if a mod like this would be possible to create. :c
The description for Kynseed says that you can build a family, and when your character dies, you can play as your child. tbh I don't know how I feel about this. When I played A Wonderful Life, I would always restart the game as soon as my character started growing white hairs. ;_;
out of curriosity.. which exactly?
Cause I find most of them pretty good.. I dont like the harvest goddess and hate the karen one... karen looks like a moviestar planet avatar.. besides those two.. kinda top notch (on girls end).. popuru is unusual but i can see it - they are at very least as good as the old ones which were already great
Ann and the new girl got a huge upgrade (well.. the new one didnt exist so yea no comparison but she looks rly good) in my opinion
but i didnt look at all the male ones.. Kappa is 10/10 though
not to defend the artstyle overal.. its weird in some ways
But i'd like to know which are especially bad for you and are totaly unfitting
Though to be fair, the character art is done by the same artist who's done a lot of the series' art.
I just now checked out the H.G.'s new look.
It's definitely different, though I can go with that (I suppose the tube top was a bit shabby-looking for a goddess)
I suppose Karen does make more sense as she's nothing like she was in 64.
I guess Popuri's is more modernized now. (although, it does kinda look like Nina (from SNES), who was originally her grandmother)
I'm not a fan of Mary's new look (her old look was cuter), but I can easily live with it.
With Ann (well, I guess it's "Ran" now?) I can totally understand her new look. Her old outfit really did not look like it was for a waitress/innkeeper.
(Considering those overalls were from 64, where she was a ranch hand, it made sense to change it)
On that note, a lot of the changes seem to be because the character's no longer have the jobs they did at first.
Like Gray isn't a ranch hand anymore, so it doesn't make sense for him to still be dressed like one.
And Cliff isn't a traveling hunter with a pet falcon anymore.
And while Kai still has his bandana, he's now dressed like a sailor, rather than a vineyard worker (which was in 64).
-------
As for the villagers, they look--oh my gosh, Duke what did they do to you?!!
Manna I could live with (though she looked better with longer hair).
Saibara actually looks kinda cool, now.
Mugi (Barley) looks like he did in 64, actually.
Mei (May) is even more adorable, now.
Yu (Stu) looks a LOT better. I like that new look.
Lillia...um, wow. (Rod: "No, honey, you don't look fat in that dress." *wince*)
Sasha... (
Jeff looks about like you'd expect. Hard to believe he originally was paired with Elli, huh?
Harris... *pfft* PWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Ellen looks adorable! You can see she still has some of that charm from when she was a bachelorette in SNES
Dudley-- wait, hold it! They're calling Doug... "Dudley"?!! HAHAHAHA! Oh, let the Dudley Do-Right joke flow! (He looks okay, though)
And apparently, Carter is the only villager that's ever heard of Weight Watchers.
I like Basil's new look. That bow-tie rocks!
And Anna... ....Basil's one lucky you-know-what.
And finally, Zack looks like he's fresh from the Legend of Zelda.
No need to overhaul the game & such . . .
