Game performance.

Does anyone know if this game can run 1440p uncapped? I also want to know the quality compared to the switch.

I know Doraemon is also available but I haven't played it, in some way they're related. I also haven't done too many research.

My minimum expectations would be 1080p and 60fps.

The resolution and fps should be configurable on PC so I wouldn't worry too much about that. PC is always better for graphics and performance but in this case it really isn't significant so you can't go wrong with Switch except you may lose out on mods if they become available, but the trade off is portability. This is probably the best harvest moon game it blows the others away, except for maybe Trio of Towns for 3ds it has more complexity, I prefer it a little simpler myself.

From what I read on another thread(the one about pre-order maybe?), the people who are doing beta tests will be allowed to start posting gameplays/reviews in about 2 weeks, only then we'll get to see how good/bad this port really is.

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't too worried, as I said I had my minimum expectations, would be nice if it runs better than switch.

I was considering getting a switch just for this game but the PC version got announced. Portability is nice but I'm always in my room so I guess it doesn't matter, was also concerned about the performance on switch, just because.

This will be my 3rd from the franchise so yeah, The original and the previous SOS I have played. I'm just so excited.

The reviews are good to know, the port is also concerning me. I hope all goes well.

Performance-wise PC certainly will be better, but ports can always have some really annoying day1 bugs like the new Shantae game that makes your CPU usage go to 100%, causing stutters on your entire pc during loading screens and it still wasn't patched, but if you're not getting the physical version on Switch(that comes with a cow plush for pre-orders) then PC possibly may be better for the mods.

There's no pre-order bonus for Europe so yeah and I don't have a switch. If there was a limited edition switch I would be sold. The port is the only thing that concerns me but, since Doraemon SOS is in steam, I expect the same or better, though I haven't played it. I have my fingers crossed!

About the performance I know that it's better but still wondering if it can do 1440p or 4K and perhaps 144 fps, though that's probably overkill and unnecessary.

I don't know about mod possibilities but it's a nice bonus.

And give him your PC for testing? Besides hardware mismatch, problems sometimes arise due to software. For example, you can recall Atelier Ryza, where players without a connected controller get stuttering. Or you can recall Detroit, where some players cannot start the game because of the FPS Monitor program.

I think Windows 7 will be easy to know after launch, because not many people use it. But I hope it does run well so more people can play (:, tomorrow xseed will stream the game and even make giveaways, it's a nice chance to ask these specific stuff.

It's fairly easy to get windows 10 for free or pay a bit more for a home/pro version to remove the watermark.

I'm going to watch Gammalad now on YT.
