Why can you only be a lesbian or be a straight boy?

As a female player, I'm disappointed by the lack of options for the girls. You can clearly be a female player, but there is no option to flirt with Mat or any other boy. Also, I was trying to play the game to just be friends with Emily and Evelyn, but the game forced me to date Emily when I didn't want to. Why offer the option to have a girl profile pic if you can't be a straight girl? I expected more out of this game.

This is something only the developer can answer. But as a female as well, it's obvious the game was made thinking about the straight male audience mostly. It's not the first time I see this happening in these types of game. I know other females who felt the same. I feel like even some dialogue parts were male-oriented.

Totally serious. I started on computers in the mid 80s. Computers then didn't have hard drives: The program was on a 5 1/4" floppy and the other disk was where you stored your files. I first saw the Internet in 1986 on Compuserve. Later we had Prodigy. But the WWW was a whole new world--it was amazing. In the 90s I went on to teach computer office programs to other adults: DOS, Lotus 123, WordPerfect and then later the MS crap. I've built my own PCs (desktop), on one I loaded and worked with Linux to try it out. I still own a Commodore 64 and have played Pong, Atari and Intellivision (Imagic made the best games) along with many PC games over the years.

I suspect there are more of us than you think.

Yeah totally agree that it would be better if it offers options of being a straight female or gay male. Good game overall. This is the only point of disappointment.

Yeah, the male oriented dialogue was pretty obvious, did kinda suck, even/especially as a girl who likes other girls.

Because the devs are too lazy to write more story lines for you. If you have noticed, Emily and Evelyn story lines are essentially the same. Say even they have you started as a female, and you can choose to date whoever you want, but they are all gonna ended up with the same dialog for the entire game.

The developer intended to make Emily is Away <3 as the story of a boy having a crush on emily or evelyn. I'm not sure why. Personally, I feel that there should be more relationship options as well.

This game is a storyteller. Not some kind of dating simulation. OP seems to not understand this simple fact. If the devs chose to tell a story about a student boy/girl and his/her girlfriend, that's his choice and that's the story the creator wants to share with the public.

And like any book, movie or videogames on Earth, if the story don't speak to you, just go your way and find something which fits your taste or your expectation.
