no car engine sound
this is the same bug that im dealing with in the original game and remastered both games have this annoying bug and it ruins the experience for me
iv tried running vlc media player iv even swapped hardware and still no luck
whats going on is when i hop into any car and drive forward its like the engine does not exist and has no sound and when i stop the car all the engine sounds play at once and its infuriating iv found no solid fix iv spent more time trying to fix this bug rather then enjoy the game which makes me want to close it and never play it again:steamfacepalm:

Thank you for the suggestions. By opening the NVIDIA control panel and changing the latency to ultra and frame rate to 60, I am now able to hear my engines and screeching tires during slides with the emergency brake again.

For those who runs the game on amd, try limit the game with riva tuner, it fixed the sound here.

Its not really that bad of a bug right? I’ve done over 30 hours and hasn't bothered me one bit.

thank you to one of the comments on this (although im playing the original) capping fps to 60 fixed the audio with cars

I don't know why this still hasn't been fixed. Been an issue with all the games since the original SR3. Capping the FPS to 60 in AMD or Nvidia control panel resolves the problem.

It's not a bug, the sounds are just really bad. They were exactly the same in the original.

No it’s a bug because if you lock the fps to 60 the issue goes away. Also not an issue on console because of that also. Above 60 you start getting these issues.

Yeah they never test for higher framerates, it's a real shame. Let's hope that Saint's Row 2022 won't have this legacy feature*

May get this game soon and will this issue happen on windows 11?

Unrelated to the OS version.

I found a solution for AMD cards, with Radeon Software.

7900XTX, Ryzen 7 7700, 32 GB RAM, SSD, Windows 11 23H2

My important settings:
1) Use Radeon Chill (Min 60 fps, max 60 fps).
2) Capped at 60 FPS,
3) Do not use 5.1 surround sound, stay in Stereo for reduce lag audio.
4) Forget High Framerate.

My other settings of which I am less sure of the impact:
* VSYNC ON in-game and in Radeon Software
* VRR On

If doesn't work, try first with Radeon Chill at 30/60 fps min/max and capped at 60 fps ; if it's work, switch to 60/60 fps min/max since the game is running. Radeon Chill must be set each times you launch the game.

There will still be a slight audio lag, but pretty much all the sounds are there, it's finally playable but this game is really, really poorly designed!

For people with older AMD cards and don't like RivaTuner can also try RadeonPro, the framerate control works on a lot of games.

For the people using AMD, the Adrenalin fix doesn't work. Just use the RivaTuner Statistics from MSI Afterburner and set your FPS to 60. Fixed my problem regarding the delayed audio from the vehicles

Honestly don't know which one worked for me EXACTLY, but i did change latency to "Ultra" and Vertical Sync to "Fast" in Nvidia control panel, also did the VLC thing at the same time. my car sounds are working now. strange.....
Yeah I noticed that this game wasn't meant to be played at such high FPS. Running it at just 60 FPS seems to fix the audio bugs.
