no car engine sound

this is the same bug that im dealing with in the original game and remastered both games have this annoying bug and it ruins the experience for me
iv tried running vlc media player iv even swapped hardware and still no luck
whats going on is when i hop into any car and drive forward its like the engine does not exist and has no sound and when i stop the car all the engine sounds play at once and its infuriating iv found no solid fix iv spent more time trying to fix this bug rather then enjoy the game which makes me want to close it and never play it again

This is an old problem on win8-10, on windows 7 this problem is not, the game needs some codecs that are not on win -8 and 10.

Seems to have worked fine in the beginning. But now car sounds are gone entirely.

VLC trick didn't work either.

was that bug present in the console versions? I have played SR3 in PS3 and i dont think there was such a bug. I could be wrong though....

Seems to be tied to FPS from what I can tell. I got no car engine sounds with Vsync + triple buffering but I did get engine sounds with a fast Vsync through control panel.

Have you set Low Latency Mode to On or Ultra under Program Settings in Control Panel? That worked for me. Make sure you're doing it for the game application and not on the Global Settings tab.

ok im happy to say that setting vsync to fast in the nvidia control panel fixed the bug
the problem seems to be fps related and setting vsync to fast seems to fix it

Geezus how can a remaster have the same issue as the original? Sadly I cant get this fixed, not sure what to do, might just refund and move on

Limiting the game to 60 fps, didnt helped?

Not really sure how to do that on my system, running AMD lol
