Savegame Location?
I'm looking to back up my save games, I want to move them to a thumb drive so I can place them onto my laptop. I can't find the location of the save game files. Can someone kindly tell me where they are located? Please and thank you.

You dont have to. The game using the cloud. Just start the game on your laptop and you have it.

Cloud ate both my games. Fortunately, because of Carpe, I had my thumb drive!

Actually, right now the game isn't saving to STEAM CLOUD. I have the game installed on 2 PCs and each PC has their own saves. The cloud option is enabled, but it's not actually using it, nor is there any indication on exiting the game that saves are being uploaded/synced.

My location of the safe is C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/userdata/37993392/978300/remote

There can be another numbers as by someone else but it mainly stays the same

Interesting. At least it's always going to be in the folder 978300 though.

I think my saves get corrupted from my PC somehow then. Laptop ones are fine, because I copied them from the thumb drive. Has anyone else experienced this? I see the save files in the file extension provided by Carpe, they are labeled as sr3save_0X.sr3s_pc, where X has a number (which I presume is the save slot.) It seems like a handful of them are a no show on the load screen though, when I boot the game up on PC. This is of some concern to me, because I don't want this to happen to my laptop saves.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered saves are named exactly the same as Saints Row: The Third saves. sr3save_00 is your Autosave. The next save is named sr3save_01 and so on. You also have a srDEF_PROFILE (Profile) and savedir.sr3d_pc (Save directory).

Yeah, I figured it out. I was looking at my original SR3 files, not SR3R, I got my wires crossed it seems while moving files around and opening windows all over the place. I haven't tried it yet, but in theory, would saints row the third files be compatible with saints row the third, remastered?

Had this issue too. The save loaded fine on my desktop though, so they're clearly not corrupted. I tried again copying everything in 978300 folder, exiting Steam on on my laptop before copying the files to it. After that I loaded Steam and my save loaded.

Will our older savegame work in this new remastered version somehow?
