Diminishing Boost on Event Badges - Very Disappointing
Over the past couple of years, I have supported this game (and dev team) through my MANY Darwinium purchases, beta-tested events when they were just starting (JWT FTW!!!) - and I even stuck with it through the whole metabits 'tuning' phase - which is still vastly nerfed; but I am mostly over that... kinda... sorta... ok, not really - but I still played despite it all, I stuck around to see what was coming next. And I was excited for the Beyond Expansions, and new events - they kept me engaged, and interested!

But this new diminishing boost on the event badges that recently came into effect - this is it for me.

The final straw...
I am done...

I am done feeling like I am repetitively being punished by the dev team for being an early adopter of the game. Taking away bonuses, boosts, and achievements that were hard-earned at the time is no way to show your love and appreciation for your early adopters.

I am also not normally the type who likes to announce my departure so dramatically - but this time I feel like something needs to be said because truthfully I am disappointed - I truly enjoyed this game mostly and I will miss playing it...

But I can't support it any longer - not when my achievements are no longer given the value they deserve.

Peace out Cells Team and Stay cellular!

hello mr lunch,
what does that "not when my achievements are no longer given the value they deserve." mean, and where can i read about it?.
do i get no bonuses or less? i dont want to play every event for lots of hours, i worked hard to need less and less time , so i want my bonuses back. when im forced to play every event that i have done over a dozen times, for more than 6 hours or so, then im not longer motivated to do it , i was happy to finish older events in a few hours.

your badge benefits are list on the left hand side tab in the reality engine.

Some events, I finish in like 2 days with massive amount of time to spare with bonus of like 180%. Other events... Have bonus of like 240% and actually fail to finish on time. Work and personal life don't give all that much opportunity for active play. But regardless of my own problems... the balance just seems off. How is it possible, that some events, even with higher bonuses, can be difficult to finish, while other events, like the current one where I have smaller bonus, are doable without issues?

I believe I was pretty clear about what I find 'so objectionable' in this post - there isn't much more to elaborate on.

Or in other words, "Please take this conversation private so other players don't realize they're getting screwed."

Beyond is by far my favourite and probably the bit that kept me hooked also.

sounds like what they is upset about is that badges were nerfed.
everyone hates nerfs. . .
but then again, maybe not.

whenever i play an online game and find a powerful combo, some big mouth always invariably goes on the forum and is like "such and such combo is OP!" and then it gets nerfed.

I quite like this change. I couldn't game for 3 weeks until I replaced my old laptop, and this was the clicker game I had most doubts about resuming, or at least dropping out of the beta. The near-constant events and their often slow pacing is too time-consuming. This change encourages me not to bother with events when I have over 200% in them already.

Players should be able to finish the events in an hours.
200% is not enough fr that, especially with devs introducing harder and harder event.
If you limit bonus from badges are you planning to introduce other bonuses? Like cards that boost events?

What's the diminishing returns on badges?

I don't see it in patch notes anywhere

(I'm not saying it's not a problem - this kind of thing seems like par for the course tbh, but I'm curious what/when exactly they changed)

click the news for the bronze age patch and it says "click to read the full patch notes"
and it brings you to a reddit post.

----------------
Once the Badge boost from Events rises above 200%, each new badge gives a diminishing boost.
-------------

Badge boost now displays on player profile cards.
Fixed: Changing game scenes would reset Nanobot cooldown.
Fixed: iPhone 15 Pro Max Dynamic Island cuts into game text.
