I don't earn metabits anymore (endgame)

Hello, I have 612 feliforms and my metabits don't grow up anymore...
Why ?

Hey try out the latest update 8.49. Your metabit production should be increase again.

Doesn't work for me unfortunately. (im on 8.49)
The game claims I have earned a total of
19 568 703 474 703 metabits which makes the block size really big.

I have
12 907 331 metabits in bank and some spent on upgrades, and these do not add up to the total earned.

Probably the easy fix would be to recalculate metabits earned as a sum of (bank + spent on upgrades) as FWIK there is no other way to spend metabits

I was in 8.49, I just have to restart the simulation to earn more metabits.
I'm actually at 4e13 Metabits now :)

Hey Golob, it sounds like your save file got messed up due to one of the number/date issue. Causing the game to think your play time was much higher then it actually was. I'll need to program a custom fix to zero out you total entropy stat this will reset you research level, but you will be able to earn metabits again. I'll have a patch for this on Monday.

Indeed! The game states I've played for 7456 days, which is most probably incorrect ;)

My experiment duration shows 6730 days, which is not possible.

Hey @Golob & @pavlisek.

I've added a button at the bottom of the options menu. File "file maintenance" pressing this option will zero out your total metabit research , however you will be able to earn metabits again like normal. You might need to reboot your simulation before the metabit start counting again.

After file maintenance reset, the experiment duration decreased to 365 days, so it's still dubiously weird.

Hey @pavlisek that's correct I set the playtime to 365, but I guess I could have set it to zero.

Sorry to revive this thread, but I guess it's better than creating a new one. I did not play for a while (maybe a year?) and restarted playing. I'm now at version 9_43. I realize that the "Experiment duration" is almost 60000 hours, which is 2500 days or almost 7 years, so I might have the same issue. Metabits progress is very slow (like, <200/s when the next item in the Simulator costs 125M and I can see things costing 5.5B).

But I can not find the "File Maintenance" button you mentioned. It's not there in the menu.
What can I do?

Exactly the same issue here. I also remember rebooting the universe more than once, but upon returning, the game showed me to be at Simulation 1 (which, I think, wasn't displayed in that fashion at all the last time I played a long time ago).

For me it shows Simulation 14, which is believable. Just the 60kh experiment duration is wrong, and the metabits/s is ridiculously low.

Hi, I've started playing again after a long time and I have this bug, but I can't find that button. Any solution? Thanks.
