Can't find shotguns. WTF?

I*m about half way through Halo CE and loving it. My only issue is I've been hankering for a shotgun since the start and I'm at the point in the campaign where the flood are showing up already and I've not seen one shotgun at all. Which is weird because i distinctly remember killing hunters with shotties looking for the catagropher room. Did they change something there/am i just imagining things or does anyone else have this issue?

I'm about to that point in CE and have not come across a single shotgun. So it's likely you or that haven't shown up yet (outside of Reach).

You're definitely imagining things.

I always remember the darn thing dropping only from the 6th mission onward, not long after the first few encounters with the Flood.

Shotguns are rife about halfway through.

I just found the shotgun. It's at the start of Campaign Mission 6 (343 Guilty Spark).

Yes
