2025 Split Screen Co Op

I am wanting to play this split screen with my son. Obviously 343 screwed the pooch and didn't put in one of the most important features of halo. I looked up ways to make it work but most of the stuff I found has updates or comments saying that it no longer works or won't allow a second player. Is there an easy way to make this work currently? I'm seriously baffled that this isn't already in the game.

try the alpha ring mod, it puts native splitscreen back onto the pc version, easy to install and set up. though custom controls need to use steams custom bind options, and the hosts looking sensitivity since customisation is still limited until a new splitscreen mod takes its place

https://github.com/WinterSquire/AlphaRing/releases this mod also allows 4 player coop splitscreen in all the games, even ce and h2, but the spawns for the 3rd and 4th player might be scuffed, theres some workshop mods that fix that, however the h2 one crashes when leaving a level through the menu, its fine when completing the level and won't crash that way, but as said it will when exiting a level through menu's, the mod will need anti cheat to be off though as online matchmaking and server browser isn't supported thanks to easy anti cheat sucking but custom games online still work just fine

Thanks! I managed to get this working but it hard crashes to a white screen at the end of the first mission in CE. Any known fixes for this?

perhaps try an older version of the mod? I have not had any issues with crashing in ce compared to h2. I assume you've placed the mods file in the correct spot as well?

it doesn't work for me, since the lastest update of the game, i can't use this mod
