is halo a good game for kids
My nephew is getting bored with fortnite. I don't blame him because multiplayer games can get boring, well I want to introduce him to doom but that's too violent, and I notice that halo has an M rating even though halo isn't nearly as bad as doom.

Let them play outside.
The campaigns are great for kids, assuming the obvious violent themes, alien and human blood and profanity are not an issue. I got Halo CE on Christmas morning in 2001 at age 10 and loved it, but I was a mature and quiet kid, so.
depends on the child man. I started gaming at about 9. I am 35 though and multiplayer video games entered the world as i was growing up. That being said i just started letting my 6 year old daughter start playing poppy playtime. It seems scary but she is very smart and actually will laugh while being scared playing. Parenting is about reading what your child is capable of and introducing new things to them based on that.

Correct. :MCCHELMET:

Halo has a naked booba woman hologram in it, zombies, and also all the subject matter is couching Christianity motifs inside sci fi with church leaders being the bad guys and Navy Hellboy being the good guy leader. Alien corpses in Halo 1 have infinite blood so a child might be conditioned to play in the blood of their enemies like a lawn sprinkler.

Other than that, it's not particularly egregious in terms of subject matter. In fact, I'd say only a small child who doesn't know anything of Bionicle could enjoy Halo 4 and 5. It's your discernment.

nail on the head.
Game it self seems fine (I think) But the developers are woke, So look out for that.
(Or at least the New devlopers)
Infinitely better to play than any Grand Theft Auto game lol
I was 17 when Halo 1 came out but I used to play with my friends little siblings and we would play co-op together for hours, good clean fun. I thought it was neat bc I was helping to teach them how to play in the process. Online can be a different experience though
played fortnite on and off due to some of my friends playing it. Will say halo is good. I mean if you are worried about something like swearing, i'm still working through the games and haven't really come across swearing, especially if you compare it to how some of the kids speak on mic's in Fortnite then language in Halo is childsplay. (well what i come across a few times in Fortnite)
considering that a minority of us here had started playing Halo at ten years old back in 2001, i'd say yeah. your kid will be just fine. it's a fun time to be had.

and no, Halo is not like Doom.
It's a must play, everyone will regret not playing halo.
Halo, aside from all the sweats and the amount of cheaters online in the game, is pretty much a rated T game. Just like the ESRB says, "Online communications not rated by the ESRB". As far as the campaigns, they aren't super bloody and nonstop cussing. It's more relaxed.
i played halo when i was 3 years old, they will be fine

enormous amount of casual swearing? In Halo? You're absolutely wrong.... the worst you'll here is something like "d*mn," "what the hell," from the marines.
Some people would consider that swearing.

Pretty sure they're not talking about the campaign...
