[ UE4 - MCC Fatal Error, game crash. ] I'm out of ideas...
Finished the halo 3, and remastered CE without any issue. Been playing it for a week. Started CE on legendary, quit the game 30 min later, logged in the next day and now this error keeps crashing the entire MCC collection, 30 seconds after I start it... In both versions of the game, with anticheat and without it.

I only have Halo CE installed right now ( removed H3 and Reach )

what I've already tried:
- Verifying the game files via steam
- reinstalling the game
- starting the game in windowed mode
- starting the game as an admin
- deleting the Microsoft logo video
- deleting the MCC folder in LocalLow on C drive and verifying the files
- disk cleanup ( c: )
- setting my PC to high performance mode
- downloading the newest GPU drivers with "clean" install
- downloading the latest Microsoft Visual C++
- disabling the Steam overlay and nvidia one
- giving extra permission in Win defender

note: I'm not overclocking anything

I did notice that the GPU usage spikes 3 times to 100% suddenly from like 45 ~ 50% prior to and in the moment of crash.

I honestly have no idea what to do anymore.. any advice ?

TBH The only thing I didn't do, is call a voodoo shaman to slay a virgin goat on top of my pc and slap some dry chicken bones from under it...

I fixed it.

Turns out Easy Anti Cheat was in conflict with my x360ce gamepad emulator. Even if you ran the game with EAC turned off, it still caused the game to crash. Looks like " UE4 MCC fatal error" is a place holder name for every bug that causes a game to crash...

After one of the crashes a new pop-up window came out, saying that Easy Anti cheat finds xbcdr.dll ( x360ce rumble driver) in system32 folder to be a threat problem. So I just deleted all x360ce files from my game folder so it doesn't trigger EAC and it worked like a charm ( I didn't need to remove the one from the sys32 folder )

Same trouble here, was playing recently, but today any multiplayer brings up this fatal crash error message and campaign is simply a black unresponsive screen. Not using a controller emulator =/ . Hopefully crash diagnostics can help the devs figure out what broke. Great games otherwise and many years of enjoyment so far =] . This is discouraging, though =[ .

I had the same error. Followed the Pinned topic to file a bug, which lead me to Halo Waypoint forum and posting. TLDR, verified my game installation files within steam and I'm back in business, playing again =] .

yeah, as I said the " UE4-MCC fatal error" is the same generic message for any sort of crash in MCC. Can be 50 different things as a solution to a problem :s .
