[BUG] Xbox Elite 2 Controller Disconnecting in Halo Reach (MCC)
Hello,

I took advantage of the promotion to purchase Halo: The Master Chief Collection, but I'm already experiencing controller issues in Halo Reach, making the game unplayable.

🎮 Hardware involved:

• Controller: Xbox Elite Series 2 (wireless, Bluetooth)
• Connection: No issues with other games, works flawlessly outside of MCC

🐞 Issue description:

1. Initial connection:

I connect my controller wirelessly to the PC (as usual).

I launch the game without any apparent issue.

2. During the intro cutscene:

The Xbox button on the controller starts blinking (like it's trying to connect), then stabilizes, then starts blinking again periodically during the cutscene.

3. In-game:

I can’t move down or use certain buttons.

The Xbox button blinks again → the controller seems to be disconnecting and reconnecting in a loop.

When it reconnects, my character keeps performing the last input (e.g., walks forward alone, spins in circles…).

4. Using keyboard/mouse:

Everything works perfectly, no issue detected with this control method.

5. After quitting the game:

The abnormal behavior stops → the controller remains connected normally.

❓ Questions:

Is this a known bug?

Is there any option to enable/disable either in-game or in Steam settings?

Is there any known workaround to play normally with this controller?

Thanks in advance for your help 🙏
I would prefer not to ask for a refund, but as it stands, the game is unplayable for me, since I don't want to play using keyboard and mouse.

I do see this periodically but only when my controller is on low battery.

My controller is on its charging dock and the battery is fully charged, so that shouldn’t be the issue.
(I actually wish it were, since that would’ve been a much easier fix!)
