Brute/Red Plasma Rifle.

I'm making this thread out of curiosity. Since as my favorite weapon in all of halo comes from halo 2 the red plasma rifle/brute plasma rifle. Why don't it appear in halo 3 or reach But only in halo 2 and odst. It always been a thing that upset me considering I religiously love the brute plasma rifle. This could be most in part due to my colorblindness but i don't know why i always loved it more than the original counterpart. When i played halo 3 for the first time on 360 years ago to realize they removed the brute plasma rifle i was very very sad. I wonder if i'm not alone with liking the brute plasma rifle more and also curious of reasons why it only made an appearance in halo 2 and odst. I do love my Red plasma. :3

Not quite the same, but you could always unlock the Brutal skins and have a Red Plasma rifle in Halo CE.

Really? In halo CE? i didnt really think it existed in halo CE so i didnt bring it up for that reason. Then again im going based on the original releases and not specifically the master chief collection/ remastered copies of some of the games. But if it is originally in halo 1 then bonus points to halo 1 too. Which would mean i would need to replay halo 1 to find it.

Yeah its only for the MCC. Have a look under the Spark season under the catalog and you'll find it.

I'm disappointed too, it's not the only weapon they just didn't add into newer games.
But I sure did like the brute plasma rifle in halo 2, I've played it in coop half a year ago and still remember how useful it was even tho only few enemies had it.
I'm playing ODST for the first time, unfortunately alone but it's still a banger, and red plasma included.

Indeed, the Brute plasma rifle had accelerative fire. The more it overheated the faster it's rate of fire became over its blue counterpart. It's ashame it mostly got replaced by the spiker in halo 3 and reach.
