No, needlers are only used out of necessity (gravemind start) and are replaced immediately by more reliable weapons (carbine in this case). H2 fuel rod gets my vote. 5 fast shots, doesn't bounce, doesnt require direct shots like 3/R, melts hunters and ultra elites even on legendary, all that combined with h2's quick reload and you got a good gun.

Needlers are a valid option outside of Plasma pistol and precision. Though I wouldn't use them over the latter.

its good in multiplayer, but i think halo 4 needler is most broken for campaign, can kill 2 elites with one clip.
