Multiplayer servers all down? cannot play online anymore?

Not sure what is going on as every other multiplayer game I own on steam works fine, but when I try to play any of the halo games in MCC, and i search for online games, it just endlessly says "searching for players..." and i can never find a multiplayer game. Is something wrong? Did they shut down all online servers or something?

its the same with me iv tried verifying the files and i still cant join a game

The game is very populated in the US regions. I find matches in literal seconds, but I've heard EU is dead besides Reach/3.

Changing these settings might help:

Options & Career > Settings > Network
Relays: OFF
Input-Based Matchmaking: DISABLED
Platform-Based Matchmaking: DISABLED

If that still doesn't work, use to Custom Game Browser.

im in the us and i have it set to us servers only its something with the game not the servers

Are you using these settings? Those 3 network settings will impact whether you can find matches or not. The game is very populated.

Are you trying to search a specific mode in a specific game? Or are you trying multiple games and modes? Halo 2 and 2A BTB are dead through matchmaking and everyone are playing those in the Custom Game Browser.

i put on all games and all modes and it just sits there and spins

Damn that sucks!

The only other thing I can think of is to open the following ports:
TCP: 3074, 27015, 27036
UDP: 88, 500, 3074, 3544, 4500, 27015, 27031-27036

yeah i dont know man its been like that for a couple weeks since the last update came out ill post something hear if i find a fix

Which game size are you trying to search for? 4v4 is the most populated imo.

I would assume you've waited for over a minute?

That's weird. I don't have a suggestion for anything that hasn't already been mentioned. Flood firefight in particular is the newest mode and likely to be very well populated.

Maybe the "us servers only" setting is causing problems?

Dang lol a lot of info so far from you guys, thanks. I figured out part of my own issue. This may be the case with others too. Look for "Xbox Networking" if your on Win10. Sometimes there are issues connecting, so click on "Check", and then after it does it's thing click on "Fix". it will attempt to fix any issues that may be blocking connectivity for Xbox Live games and multiplayer which this game uses. After I did this, I simply went to custom multiplayer i think it is called. Then games started to show up when I went to go browse. Could be what was causing issues,

ok i have fixed it i verifyed my files again and then reset all my network settings
