Rocket marines were by far the worst experience, especially if you had my luck and got checkpointed right next to a mongoose rocket marine and ended up reverting over and over again until you broke the death loop. Not even rocket flood in Halo CE and 2 were that painful to deal with.
No idea, it's quite random. Like you're speeding along and all of a sudden an enemy appears in front of you and the idiot in the back of the Mongoose headshots you with a rocket.
Not to defend the Marine AI at all (they are universally horrible) or to disparage your experience, but dying that many times to friendly fire in Crow's Nest is not entirely the AI's fault. It's not like when Marines throw grenades, they pop into a wormhole and get spit out at random locations near you.
Marines obviously try to throw grenades at enemies, and they obviously fail at that many times. As long as you aren't too close to enemies, nor too close to Marines in a certain radius, you will be safe from friendly fire, bar the chain explosions of grenades that sometimes occurs, emphasis on sometimes.
But it's my style. It's not interesting in sitting in cover and shoot, I rush to enemies, shoot and beat at the same time (for 3 hourse legendary achievment this is important and saves time).
Noone can focus on more than one target, so I cant see where is all enemies located. Also I cant predict and see while I am in an actual fighting, who throwing grenades.
Also I said, I cant predict or see all enemies movements.
I experienced in flood turrets already, it's not that annoying as grenades
On Sierra 117 if there are sniper jackals and you only have a carabine, it's gonna be frustrating since they one-shot as their Halo 2 counterpart does. The carabine overall is a steaming piece of dung in the campaign.
On Crow's nest and generally any level including marines, you're gonna die from friendly grenades. Also, when in vehicules, marines suddenly turn into 1992 AI.
On The Storm you will die from marines with a rocket launcher. That's why you shouldnt let one on the back of your mangoose.
On any level with flood, the long range pure form is just a pain in the bum.
The vehicule handling might be even worse than Halo 2, and Halo 2 was awful in that regard.
Other than that, well it's really the easiest campaign of the 4 games on the MCC so far.
