Workshop Purge Help?
I noticed when making space on my PC that my MCC workshop downloads apparently take up 100+gb of space. I found this weird since I unsubbed from basically any major "content-adding" mods forever back and restricted my modlist just to menu videos. Checking my workshop folder, I found all of the mods I unsubbed from still there for whatever reason, just eating up space on my SSD. I deleted them manually, but checking again this morning they were seemingly redownloaded. Has anyone else had this issue and is there any way to prevent it? Again, I've unsubbed from all the big mods that I don't want downloaded right now so I'm really confused as to why steam just redownloaded all the big ones.

Try restarting steam after unsubbing all said mods
If it reinstalls it might be related to steam cloud?

Someone I know is having this issue. Steam downloads unsubscribed workshop items to their hard drive when their game is installed in the SSD. Deleting the folder will only have Steam try to re-download it. Deleting download cache will remove the workshop download listing, but it will magically re-create itself and start downloading once the game is launched.

Out of curiosity, do or did you ever have another Steam account on your PC which was subscribed to 100+ GB of workshop mods?

Unsubscribe
Delete Workshop/content folder
Clear cache
Restart steam, run files verification
