Terminal Achievements not popping

So I just went and looked at all 3 terminals on the ark and no achievments popped. Do I need to t bag or something?

You might need to log out of Steam, log in again and restart Halo MCC after finishing the level. Achievements are tied to Macrosuck servers and there have been many cases of delayed chievo pop as it waits for resync to occur. Time trial ones have been notorious for this in particular. Normally, terminal chievos should pop as you engage the cutscene.

There's supposed to be a cut scene? I thought it was all just text on the Halo 3 Terminals

Yes, you need to wait for the terminal screen to move on it's own for it to count. Made the same mistake myself.

there are sometimes a few pages, so maybe you need to look through them?

I don't think that was necessary for the screen cutscene to trigger, but might as well go through the pages. Anyway, when the event triggers it's impossible to miss. The screen will flash red and then it will move and show you more to read. If you exit the terminal when the red flashing triggers it will not give the achievement.

Not sure what button you press on the terminal to activate it on PC but on the old Xbone you press/hold the reload/use function (X by default) at the terminal to trigger a cutscene that gives you some lore about the forerunners told by 343 Guilty Spark. There probably isn't a prompt because IT IS A SECRET TO EVERYBODY.
