how active is multiplayer ?

Thinking about buying this to play some Halo Multiplayer.
Are all of these games still active in Multiplayer or are the servers dead ?

Halo 3 and Reach are the most active, but only in social modes. Once in a blue moon you’ll find a Halo 2 social match. Competitive is entirely dead. Custom Games Browser is, last I checked, still pretty alive and kicking.

Halo 4 is also pretty active. And some specific style modes like shotguns in Halo 1 pop up frequently enough.

I wanted to play some Reach with my nephew since it's the most modern ish bungie halo and Infinite doesn't have splitscreen, everyone on the server was getting railed by a single person unnaturally landing headshots the moment you showed up a pixel on their screen. Haven't played Reach that much, so finding cheaters right away kinda left a sour taste.

Halo Infinite multiplayer does have splitscreen, just not the campaign, last I checked

From what I understood it depends a lot on where you live, matchmaking is just broken in the EU (I found like 3 games in almost 4 months playing) while, apparently, you can still find some matches in US.
