Halo 2 Coop Bug?

I've been playing through all the games with my coop buddy on legendary and I noticed this bug. Sometimes, only the person hosting the match gets credit for clearing the level.

This doesn't seem to be an issue for any of the other games, and isn't restricted to legendary difficulty. It turns out that the game didn't record me beating like, 5 different missions when we did our initial heroic play through.

Other than playing almost every level twice on legendary Coop, is there a solution to this issue? It's kind of taking the fun out of the game for me.

It is not just Halo 2... I still have a few missions it says I haven't played co-op in every game, even though I have done several full play throughs of every game with a couple different people.

i played through the entirety of ce with my buddy hosting, says i haven't beat any of the levels - but i got all the achievements for it.

Same here, playing on gamepass version

Playing in older graphics mode while being second player in co-op (watching cutscenes too) sometimes fixes the problem and awards completion.
