Playable offline?

Anyone know if this can be played offline for single player?

Yeah, you can launch and play all campaigns, load into multiplayer maps via custom games, and forge while offline.

Are you sure if totally disconnected from the internet it works offline? Because when I am disconnected and try to launch the game, it gets stuck at the main menu trying to load/connect to Microsoft's servers presumably and never proceeds.

100% positive, even tried again now on both my PC and a Steam Deck with internet disabled and was able to load into the main menu and launch into a Halo Reach campaign mission on both. I even still had my armor cosmetics while completely offline.

Is the difference perhaps that you don't have a Microsoft account maybe? Are you not able to launch the game online once?

I do that's the weird thing. I play a bunch of these MS login games like Forza Horizon 4 and what not. But Halo doesn't want to get past that main menu screen without being online. I dunno, weird. Well thanks for your help.

Navigate to your local AppData's webcache folder at C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\LocalLow\MCC\Saved\webcache
Alternatively, paste this into your explorer window bar: %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\MCC\Saved\webcache
Delete all files in this location
Launch the game
Sign into the preferred Xbox network account and allow the app to access your info


I can't really test it for myself since I don't have the issue. Also this assumes you're on Windows

Ok wanted to confirm it does work offline. I had to login online then when I exited the game and disconnected from the net, it worked. I guess there's a need to reauthorize from time to time. Glad it's figured out now, I can play the game in peace. Thanks.

Hello also can confirm it works offline.
You have to be connectes to the Internet on first start up, then log in to your Xbox live account. It even carried my achievements over.
You are able to close MCC go desktop then wifi off and it will work

Playing offline on ROG ally
