Tiers not unlocking

I have unlocked the Blackguard Forsaken Dragon helmet and the Blackguard Ashen Crown helmet in the season 8 tier list thing but they are still locked in the armor menu and I can not equip them. If anyone has encountered this problem and was able to find a solution that would be very much appreciated. I know I probably sound like a big baby complaining about not getting the cool armor that I wanted but I feel like when I work to earn something and unlock it and it literally shows a notification on the main menu that I unlocked something only for it to not be there, I have a right to be upset. Thank you in advance for any help.

Did you unlock them for the proper game? Season 8 introduced the same helmets for Halo 3 and Halo Reach, but they are unlocked separately in the season tier.

While on the tier unlock screen, there should be a logo of the game that item unlocks for at the top of each item box. It should be a "3" for Halo 3 items, and a Noble Team's insignia (a sort of stylized "V") for Halo Reach items.

Did you unlock the helmets for the game you wanted?

I was unlocking the ones in Halo Reach when I was thinking I was unlocking them for Halo 3. I honestly didn't know they made these helmets for Halo Reach and I thought that when there were multiple of the same helmet it was just a mistake on 343's part. I was going for the Halo 3 ones. Thank you so much for your help, it would have taken me way too long to figure that out on my own.
