How bad is the hacking really?

Was thinking about reinstalling this on my new rig. I heard about the multiplayer being plagued by hackers?. Is it only a small amount or is it CoD on Xbox 360/PS3 kind of bad?

I have not met one.

just make sure you check all servers in network settings, disable input based matchmaking, yadda yadda yadda.

it'll match you with xbox players.

never seen any in 100 hours. matchmaking is still great in my experience

On BTB and 4v4 game modes I haven't come across one. I have cross play on.

In my experience, I haven't played a single cheater in Socials but my friends have found a few in comp games. I don't think it's as bad as most people say but just give it a try I guess.

I've seen like two-three cheaters in matchmaking, it's not that bad, however certain custom lobbies like AT is where you will find most cheaters, so it's fine

Really not that bad

At most I think I have only seen 4 or 5 (and don’t let my low playtime fool you, I also play on Xbox) my entire life in this game

But honestly I have been playing revival projects for the original games like sunrise for 3 and insignia for 2

But since I can’t get my OG Xbox working rn I find the MCC useful for halo 2 and reach (reach sunrise is very unfinished)

I've never noticed any and i dont hack but i keep randomly getting temporarily banned.

So i dunno how that happens and its annoying so i guess if ppl get mad they can disable your game.

I have the regional servers limited to just the ones around me with good ping.
Could that be why i keep getting temporarily banned???

Its not terrible, I have met a few and u r more likely to match them in ranked at higher levels. The populations near death makes this game near unplayable however as every match will see u with a bunch of newbs or AFKers vs a team of try-hards. It probably wouldn't be that bad if Microsoft would make it so that the Steam version can connect to the Console versions for online games, but that would require a couple of programmers to work for a full weekend. Maybe even 2, and we can't afford that ♥♥♥♥ man.
