Also same goes for Keyes
The Spartan IIs I always thought of as more realistic Space Marines; super humans in a suit. Where the man inside the suit was the real technological marvel.
Spartan IVs are just average loser humans in a power ranger suit. The fact they get called Spartans and try to pass them off as the equals of the Spartans IIs in Halo 5 is really just an insult to the whole franchise. Why the hell would them getting better suits matter? The Spartan IIs could still wear to same 'improved' suits and be vastly superior since they were augmented and trained from early childhood.
But no, according to Halo 5 just getting better suits makes them the same. Wtf? I couldn't have imagined anything dumber. So apparently being trained and augmented from like 5 years old just doesn't count for sh1t and was a massive waste of time huh? Fck off 343.
One of the things that made Spartans believable is that they were barely human; on a social level they aren't human at all. They were war machines and sometimes described as psychopathic. But you know according to gay as hell Spartan IVs apparently any average loser can just up and become a Spartan some random ass day.
(realizing I need to make a thread about this lol)
You forgot the part where they're basically sent on suicide missions.
This is why Spartan IIIs are not an issue; they were never presented in a way where they were supposed to be the equal of Spartan IIs the way Spartan IVs are. Spartan IIIs were a rushed 'light' version of a full fledged Spartan II with a focus on suicidal covert ops but they were always supposed to be inferior man for man compared to a Spartan II.
Also sending new out of training camp Thirds is so far one of the most stupid choices can do.
You can put them in place between UNSC marines and Spartan II as special squads with different specifications
Noble 6 and Jorge are Spartan IIs though.
This is kinda why the others die off so easily kinda to Covenant; because they are Spartan IIIs.
Jorge doesn't die to enemies at all but is forced to stay behind to activate a bomb manually on a ship.
