Plasma Pistol...
When I first played CE and 2(a million years ago)the PP would home in on your victims, it appears that it doesn't do that now. Am I correct in this assumption, or as I suspect, I am pony at these games?

it's called aim assist on consoles cuz "muh controller".

it's the overcharge that homes in, because it's a slow fat heavy projectile.
I can't quite remember if the charge was stronger or weaker in CE, it's very strong and apparent in Halo 2 though.

Its not even question of the topic.

In CE it seems ok

In terms of damage, the charge is definitely stronger than in Halo 2. In terms of tracking, it’s give and take. It doesn’t bend as much but it can home in from a VERY long range (two betrayals first cov encounter you can basically snipe with the overcharge).

I haven't tried Halo 2's online yet. But I remember the original Halo 2 game the Plasma Pistols home feature was obnoxious as hell to avoid. It's even hit me behind walls lol. Making Plasma Pistol + Battle Rifle pretty popular in multiplayer matches...

Once locked on, it was extremely difficult to avoid getting hit with back then lol.

It only locked on when over charged mind you, not spamming shots...

I'll have to see if I recorded this: I fired one out at someone in H2A (it has a matchingly aggressive tracking in that too) while they were jumping in the air across a gap. They got sniped before the shot hit them, and it pulled a 90+ degree turn to chase their ragdoll straight down, all in a distance barely longer than a sword lunge.
