I Truly Feel Sorry For 343 (Long Read)

I would like to start this off before posting a negative comment read what i have to say thank you.

I Feel Really Sorry For 343 they truly do not deserve the hate they have been getting over the years since they took over halo in 2010 (Post Reach), I understand we all play and love this game hell some like me grew up with the series and dont want to see it die we are dedticated and want halo to be what it once was.

First things first halo 4, This Halo was not the best received Halo but what the hell could you expect they could of gave you 1000$ with your purchase and people would not of been happy since halo 3 raised the bar so high, in my eyes 343 saw that halo was getting franchise fatigue and i really feel they wanted halo 4 to be something new and intresting i give them credit for this as they were thinking of new ways to add to the already great formula of halo gameplay this being all the gameplay changes they added and modes ect, i really think halo 4 in retro spec was not all that bad 343 was trying to innovate a 10 year old franchise when they took over and i think the hardcore fans did not like this hence the hate and since it was a new dev instantly people started calling 343 a bad dev team, what did they do with halo is ruined ect ect. this is just outlandish, they tried their best and before people even gave the new dev team and game a chance they got ♥♥♥♥ on.

halo 5, Okay Again halo 5 is not a bad game at its roots, again 343 tried innovating Warzone in my opinion was a fantastic idea on paper, what ruined it for me was the microtransactions for loot, in my eyes i truly believe this was more Microsoft pushing them to capitalize on halo franchise. For Me unpopular opinion on the way i personally did not mind the new movement i thought it was good for the type of halo gameplay they were trying to make with halo 5 this being something diffrent yet again like they tried with halo 4 in the past, again people did not like this new system and were being imo stubborn wanting old halo gameplay back but again this is not Bungie the team that made the original games we all know and love this is 343 a new team trying too try new things with an ageing franchise. this for many people was strike two for 343. Again the Halo 5 campaign okay this was imo not there best the writing was off, the hype for the campaign was a let down, i believe again the hype was Microsoft trying to push their golden child game halo remember this game was coming out soon after the xbox one. the story was actuly okay this being if you read the books and understood the greater part of halo lore but lets be real here most of us dont read the books.

Now here we are halo MCC on Pc we never saw the day we get to play halo on pc again, atm looking at the fourms some of the threads are down right horrible and toxic 343 should not be getting all this hate for this launch in my eyes. you guys have to remember a port of a game from a console to a pc is not just copy and paste the code to a pc and boom you can now play it on your computer, its a lot more complicated than that so we should all give them time to fix these issues we are having, one thing i do not agree on for the port is halo reach forge not being here still that is not acceptable forge was a huge part of that game and added free content for everyone, again i can get past the sometimes poor match making the bugs ect, people are blowing this stuff out of proportion, we also have to remember in the real world atm there is a legit pandemic going on this is slowing 343s patches and bug fixes so at least keep that in mind.


Conclusion 343 is not the worst dev team like everyone is making them out to be they are probably truly great people and really care about halo, like even if you down right hate their guts at least give them the credit they were the ones that had the balls to take on carrying on development for halo think if no one did halo could of been done in 2011 no more after reach. the fact with all the hate they are getting and i understand some they should get as we all love this almost 20 year old franchise and we just want what is best for it. Next we have Halo Infinite this for me is going to be a no brainer buy for me on PC when it comes out, If 343 continues with trying to innovate halo like they did with 4 and 5 i will still enjoy the game regardless if they hit the mark or not i will still play the game again 343 is not the Satan of gaming, and if they go back to form of halo gameplay and people enjoy it i truly think this will be there comeback for hardcore fans and non hard core halo players i have i hopes and i wish 343 the best. If a Dev is reading this i truly am sorry for all the hate you guys got in the past and will in the future you truly don't deserve most of it. Stay safe Have a Good Day all Thank You for Reading

Yes my heart bleeds. They release the awful Halo 4, the even more awful Halo 5, the buggy, glitchy mess that is the MCC and are currently developing Call of Halo 6: Grappling Hook Disaster Edition. Of course no one (sane, anyway) hates the people who work for 343 Industries, but that doesn't mean the company can't take the flak it deserves.

I'm happy that 343 made this port becasue I dont want to spend $300 on an xbox jsut to play halo
I own a Nintendo switch and a ps4 and ps4 is decent

I played the free internet version of Halo 1 on PC back in the day like everyone else. Halo 2 Vista did not work on my PC for some reason so I'm glad I can get these games now. I passed Reach once so far and I really enjoyed the game.

You'd think, right? But no, 343 prefers to take the easy route of copy-pasting and then saying "yeah, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥, but we'll fix it eventualllllly". Meanwhile, 6 years later, we're only NOW getting a fix to MCC Halo 3's awful hit reg, after public outcry and the majority of the 50k players leaving. Nevermind it's been an issue for over half a decade and already brought to their attention. Let's have one of our producers laugh at the community's woes over a livestream and then never talk about it again.
