IMPORTANT CO-OP BUG (FAILED CONNECTION TO SERVER)
Anyone else has an issue loading in co-op campaign and put it out one of you both and the other just freeze the loading screen? if this is your case, i was investigating and it may be for one of 2 reasons:

1. One of you has faster speed connection to server and the other doesnt.

2. One of you load faster from SSD or HDD.

This problem may can be from server that cant wait to much longer until and you get kicked, so i tried different ways to solve this problems but none of it solve the problem. So if you can let me know how, there is our solutions:

1. Use a vpn to play from different country to load lower than my friend with lowest internet connection (maybe because still my internet faster, but not sure because his speed its like 4 Ping and mine its 2 Ping). it didnt solve our problem and i connected faster than him and i was kicked from loading screen.

2. Move my game from my SSD to my HDD (because he has it in his HDD). Still didnt solve our problem and i was kicked from loading screen.

If anyone knows how to fix it. We just do all Halo Reach and Halo CE campaign in co-op without problem. I play from steam and he is in windows.

We have the same problem.At the first time it's OK .But I quit once then it never work again.

I have the same issue, i managed to play two missions but most of the times I get kicked out.

Halo Reach and Halo CE work for coop campaign and MP, no problem to friend in another state. Unable to get into game together in the Halo2A Campaign. Wife and I can play on same network together on coop campaign, but a friend in another state cannot get Coop to work. He's reinstalled and a number of other things. Must be a bug within the game.

No but I know that is wrong it so wrong

I have halo on a ssd and me and my friend haves it on a hdd


And he got 900 mbs up and down and I have 300

They are not the reason it not working

I found the solution, and i didnt like it, i have the premium pass in xbox, i downloaded the game there in my HDD and it worked... (he has it in windows 10 too)

I've been having this issue with the Xbox One version when it first came out on Xbox One, mostly with HALO 2. I'd join a friend, it'd load up, but it'd sit there, fully loaded, before it just kicks us back to the main menu. Recently, when HALO 2 launched on PC, I started playing with a friend, and it did work for Cairo Station, but as soon as we got to the second mission, it basically kicked us back to the main menu. Issue is, this is an unresolved issue that I've been begging 343/Microsoft to fix since the early days of MCC when it was just an Xbox One exclusive. Granted, the rest of the co-op seems to be far more stable, but HALO 2 seems to be the weakest link in MCC, as far as I can tell.
