Check this thread out maybe?
Oncce you have set it up you can't just play Halo normally again.
You have to undo the changes made by Nucleus first.
A Mod could solve this problem better. But it would have been cool if 343 hadn't removed Splitscreen from the games....
Its not really unrealistic to want Halo, a series known for its splitscreen experience, to have that experience on PC too
While I 100% understand the mindset (I think of online gamers inches-1' from a monitor too), I know I've recently been looking into couch co-op and split-screen shooters, as I've learned that Steamdeck w/ docking & controllers is a BEAST!
Discovered Quake 2 has split, and going to try a mod on Quake 3 Team Arena on Monday. Theres definitely value to be had.
aka massive performance issues on the xbox one, and data corruption issues
Not sure what you mean by that, I use Nucleus and never have to revert any settings.
To add to the list that some have already contributed to -- Serious Sam 3, Screencheat, Resident Evil 6, Hybercharged, Gears 5, Battlefront Classic Collection, Murder Miners, almost every single racing game -- and right now I'm only specifically talking "splitscreen" as in a literally split screen, there's plenty of local multiplayer games on PC and the number is growing all the time. I set my PC up to my TV and tend to use it like a console a la Big Picture, and when friends come over we tend to play local multiplayer stuff. I've always loved local gaming and it's a shame it got neglected for so long, on console too frankly. Nucleus HAS been a lifesaver.
However, splitscreen DOES work on the H3 mod tools, you have to run the tag_test executable iirc.. It works, but its far from ideal
I was honestly hoping someone who take the left over splitscreen in the mod tools and use that to make something out of it, even if it was just for H3 and ODST
