Halo CE: Start by default as original graphics instead of remastered
Good news! A potato PC can run this game! (At least CE and maybe 2) I can now buy this for my nephew and play with him online!

Tested this on a dual-core Celeron with integrated graphics and it worked!

Only problem is... it goes SOOOOOO slow when it's about cutscenes because that by default, the missions start on remastered. Tested it on my father's laptop which has 4GB of RAM, and as i previously mentioned, a dual-core Celeron and Intel HD Graphics.

The results... were... well... let's just say that Remastered is taboo on these circumstances.

Anyways, besides the fact that load times were reasonably long (My father's laptop has an HDD, my nephew has an SSD instead), upon starting the mission, Mission 2 in my case, the audio kept but the screen was at half an FPS. Upon starting, i immediately pressed TAB to switch to Original graphics, and... MAGIC! The game ran perfect! I mean, i couldn't test it properly cuz i had a mouse pad instead of a real mouse (Therefore, and also considering the mouse sensivity was low by default, couldn't move the mouse too much to look around and check the FPS).

Thing is... i did it. If people thought this game won't run on a potato, then... ON YOUR FACE!

But i digress.

I don't want that my nephew, upon starting to play co op with me on his laptop, get the bad impression that the game works so slow. Is there any poisibility of setting the game's graphics to original as a default starting graphics setting instead of remastered? In the video settings of the main menu?

If you start-up a mission with these settings, then the game should remember them every time you next start-up a mission for either Campaign, even via Playlists or perhaps Quickstart.

I agree that it should be more sensibly available in the proper 'Options & Career > Settings > Gameplay or Video' menu for each game, but this should nonetheless do the job as it has continued to do so for me.

One more thing I might recommend considering is setting 'ENABLE CAMPAIGN CUSTOMIZATION' to 'Disabled' for Halo: Combat Evolved, as unless you fancy playing that particular Campaign with whatever camouflage paint or silly retexture you might have, these will replace the Weapons with higher-resolution textures that may or may not be to your liking, so although you may feel free to set this to what you prefer, this is another setting to bear in mind if you want the complete "Halo: Combat Evolved Classic" settings. Regardless of your choice, this option is entirely unavailable for the Anniversary mode.
Thank you, my good man! Wish that could be done by merely starting the campaign from the correct option instead of using tthe mission select menu.
