The future of MCC
343 has OFFICIALLY now stopped supporting MCC, something we have known for months but they have finally made it official now, there is only 2 smaller updates left to come for MCC and then after that none anymore. The main reason why it all led to 343i ending their support of MCC is because they were not allowed to monetize the game with micro transactions and other plans for monetizing Halo MCC went down the drain as well.

Official mods, just let modders make official mods for MCC, and you can even pay the modders who make the best official mods. Valve used to buy the mods and hire modders (Counter-strike and Dota being the most famous ones) and that gives an incentive to the community to improve the game themselves. It will literally make the game sustainable by itself as and 343 devs wouldn't have to do much themselves to keep the game going as now its the modders moving the collection forward much like how Skyrim did it.

Coop still needs to be fixed as well as it is currently a broken mess. Just let modders fix the game, officially.

There is so many games in this collection and potentially endless of content, just pay modders to keep the game moving forward with official mods and making weekly rotational playlists for multiplayer. It's so easy to do, yet the higher ups at 343i wont consider it. It would be the smartest thing to do from their perspective as it would make the game self sustainable basically and they would have minimize their own role in MCC so they can focuse on Infinite and other prospects.

At least unlike greedy Bethesda, 343 team saved its face. No microtransations ever introduced as they initially stated, unlocked and published pre alpha stuff that many thought was lost, and delivered really good optimised port (apart from the coop lags and crashing of course).
But yeah I know it would be ask them too much but if they let modders to integrate into the game content at a deeper level to figure out those crucial fixes fro the stuff you mentioned it would be a factor that would make me praise 343 even more.

Makes sense!! Even if they didn't abandon it, it'd be nice to see what the community gets up to. I've had no in game audio, while the menu screens still make noise. If the community offers support it let them do that. :MCCHELMET::MCCHELMET::MCCHELMET:

As Ac said, there have been no announcements about MCC. Stop fear mongering.
