Did 343 removed crossplay for Halo 3

Halo 3 had Crossplay suppory since season 8 update. but for somereason i try to play with a friend and the game said. that this title have no crossplay support. any idea whats is goin on?

i dont seem to remember them removing crossplay capabilities. That said they COULD have but, i highly doubt it.

i remember reading somewhere at some point that crossplay was also dependent on input method, so to play with a friend on xbox you would have to use an xbox controller?

I cannot confirm this 100% though as i really dont feel like swapping back and forth between google and steam on my phone to find out.

ok this is weird becuase when i tried to play Halo 3 i got message that Crossplay is not avilable for this

Try using a controller, it might also be based on input

I can’t imagine using a keyboard and mouse for Halo anyways

if you are rffering to the "disable/enable" input based matchmaking.
its disabled for both of us+ i was trying to start with the controller connected.

Yeah thats very weird, it could be you/him are trying to use the cross game playlist which includes all the halos? try selecting just the halo 3 campaign if thats the case

im doing CE achievements and I've had to do a few multiple times for them to trigger. doing "how pedestrian" multiple times is not fun, especially when im bad at grenade jumps and the checkpoint is like a half minute walk away from the attempt.

edit: just got par score on "the maw" with 25k at 40 minutes on legendary. didnt trigger, par is 18k.

Same problem here. I can't find the definitive answare about Halo 3 still having cross platform or not. I read on the internet that it should have it, but alot of people is getting the same message that I get. The same one the person that started this post got. Was it just a test? Did 343 disable it? Is it a bug?

All Halo MCC games have multiplayer crossplay.

Only H3 and ODST have Campaign crossplay.
