Just finished Halo 4 for the first time. You know what? I'm gonna say it.
The hate that 343 recieved for Halo 4 was totally UNCALLED FOR.

I played halo 1-2 on the xbox. 3 on the 360, christmas morning.

I played ODSTS launch day after midnight, I WAS THERE AT REACH.

Life got busy & I didn't have time to play 4. But I just finished the campaign. I cried. What a wonderful story.

I don't have an xbox for guardians, and Im not going to buy a console just for 1 game, so I guess that's all the story I will know of for now. Hoping one day it comes to MCC

I don't think it will come to MCC cause I'm pretty sure it would change the minimum requirements if it did, and that would make a lot of gamers mad.

But I do hope it comes to Steam as a standalone.

I enjoyed Halo 4 quite a bit until I reached that one mission with the game-ending bug. Wasn't enjoying it enough to play after that though.

I played Halo 4 on Xbox 360 back when it first came out. So I can definitely tell you that you missed out. This is because the MCC H4 is far inferior to the OG H4. Half the progression is gone. Half the achievements are gone. Spartan Ops Matchmaking is gone. View model stances weren't ported over to the MCC despite the very similar "Spartan Poses" being added later on. And still plenty of bugs exist that weren't present in the OG H4, and that have shown no signs of getting fixed anytime soon. Ultimately, making H4 by far the worst ported game in the MCC. But don't just take my word for it. I recommend you check out the why channel on YouTube. Bruh does comparisons of every build of the MCC to the legacy Halo games. Bruh even has his own bug spreadsheet lol 😂

As for all the hate that Halo 4 got... Tbf, a lot of it was justified. There was a lot to hate about the game. The artstyle changes were ass. The Covenant were no longer funny. The Prometheans were ass. The Didact was ass, and only received character development in books and comics. There were less easter eggs. Less Multiplayer playlists. No Forge World at launch. No Campaign Theater. No Firefight. And there were like THREE good songs in the game's whole soundtrack. And one of them was just a new arrangement of Marty's Never Forget! The rest either sucked or were mid-tier at best. I'm sorry lol.

Don't get me wrong though, Halo 4 was still a good game. It did a lot of things right overall. And, most importantly, it took risks. But it also altered or simply left out a HUGE amount of legacy content. And people noticed. It brought too much new while simultaneously not bringing back enough old. And that's mostly what got people upset. In other words, it had an identity crisis. At that point in time, it seemed to many fans that the devs were trying to turn the Halo brand into something else. And that's what gave 343 Industries a bad rep right off the bat. So, hopefully, it's easier for you to see now why, at the time, Halo 4 was a disappointment to many fans and a regression from Halo: Reach in many ways.

Now, as for Halo 5: Guardians... Hoo boy! That game made Halo 4 look like a Renaissance art painting by comparison lol. Its Campaign was so bad that Halo: Infinite had to pretend like half of it didn't even happen. So you didn't miss a damn thing bro. The only good things about that game were its Multiplayer, Forge, and Theater. And, even then, all of the cosmetics in the game were randomized in loot boxes. And there was no way of even knowing what you would get. And, half the time, when you paid for a high-tier loot box, you would still get low-tier cosmetics!

TL:DR - I lost interest pretty quick.

If you look on the Microsoft Store, I'm pretty sure there is still a standalone Halo 5 Forge Mode[apps.microsoft.com] that you can download though for PC. I have no idea why it hasn't yet been added to Steam 🤷🏾‍♂️

Bonus: If you haven't already, I highly recommend that you listen to the HUNT the TRUTH[on.soundcloud.com] audio series that starred Keegan-Michael Key and ran as promotional material for Halo 5: Guardians. It was really good. Too good! Its production quality was so well done, in fact, that it made the writing of Halo 5's Campaign seem like a joke in comparison when the game itself finally launched. That's because nothing that happened in the audio series was paid off in the actual game. Consequently, this made Halo 5: Guardians disappoint fans even more than Halo 4 did lol.

Sigh, 343.

Minimum requirements change all the time. I dont believe that would be a reason for them not to port H5 over.

you mean minimum requirements change for newer games, but existing games don't have a change in minimum requirements, as far as I know, unless you have proof of games suddenly changing minimum requirements at least 2 years after release.

War Thunder has updated their system requirements in the past as theyve transitioned to newer versions of their game engine. Satisfactory is changing their system requirements as they update the game from UE4 to UE5.

Sorry. These are two games which I have played and knew off the top of my head. With a smart ass remark like that please realize that you said:

satisfactory is in early access, and its minimum system requirements is expected to change, thus it doesn't count.

I should have been more clear, give me 20 games that aren't in development cycle that changed minimum system requirements.

Lol bud okay. Keep on moving those goalposts until you think youre right. There are better things to argue about than this.

you gave only 2 things, and i asked for a lot, here is the definition of a lot since you clearly didn't seem to understand it:
a lot
noun
  1. A large amount.
  2. Many things, much.
adverb
  1. Very much; a great deal; to a large extent.
