Will Halo 5 be added to MCC soon?
I know that Halo 5 Forge is available right now free on the microsoft store for PC but its only Forge and Custom Games (there is a custom game lobby as well but its pretty dead tbh can't find any games).

I hope they add it to MCC with the full story and multiplayer because it would fit in perfect with the whole kind of theme they have going on and would be nice to have players catch up on the Halo story in chronological order before the release of Halo Infinite.

halo 5 isn't coming to mcc.

Last statement on this was that there's no plan to bring it to PC so far.
and if it came to PC, i strongly doubt it'd be within the MCC, since it came out after the mcc.

Not until sometime after Halo 6: Infinite is released.

Bummer. I heard it wasn't great but I'd still like a chance to play it.

So wouldn't I too. But, have a little faith that they may port it over and add it to the MCC collection after Halo 6: Infinite is released.

You do realize the collection will increase in filesize to 200+ GBs if the full Halo 5 game is added to the MCC (right now its close to 120 GBs on Xbox One when they added Reach!)?! It would take up more space than some of the older SSDs have space for (120 GB SSDs anyone?). I don't think alot of people on PC want to have that big of a product in the MCC anyways plus I think at this point to save 343's sanity with developing this collection with 11-12 different engines that will be running when Halo 4 is out on PC. Adding Halo 5 on top of all of this would just create an absolute cluster-chaos of trying to fit such a massive product like that into the collection. At this point, I'd rather they just release it as a separate product on PC, this will be so much easier for 343 to develop the full game on PC since they would just be dealing with one engine only (and Forge is already on PC which helps) rather than trying to get it to work with 6 other Halo games in the collection. I know it would be cool to have every game in the collection through Halo 5 but I really just don't see that happening based on how 343 is already struggling with going back one game at a time right now and trying to get this all working on PC.

With regards to file size, the intent is to fully support "intelligent install", letting people pick which parts of the MCC they want installed.
But yeah, the rest makes sense as to why not to, and that bringing Halo 5 into the MCC would probably be less effective than bringing it over as a standalone.

No, it's not going to be added, gameplay differences aside, adding halo 5 would be a technical nightmare, especially for the Xbox one. On top of that, halo 5 alone has the file size of the mcc with all the games combined.
I think Halo 5 will be added to the collection after Halo Infinite is released.

I think Halo 5 it will come to pc not to the collection after all the mcc titles came out.
