Be careful with Synapse etc tho. I tend to disable autostart of all that stuff.
Specifically, setting a chain of actions to one button is where you might get in trouble. I don't think they care if you use macros to remap keys to other locations.
Been using a macro but only to open up the Game bar and the Nvidia share thing, so as shortcuts. Literally nothing that affects the game.
Simply because the Gaming mode for the Razer keyboard reduces ghosting, but it also disables the Windows key, so I made a macro for literally just "Windows Key + G" to open up the bar and put it in the M1 key.
I take it that shouldn't cause any issues?
Regarding Synapse itself, you're safe to keep it open. Gears 5 has Chroma enabled and it controls your lights through Synapse, and it also uses EAC.
Did you read at least.
I highly doubt just having the app running/and or installed would be a problem. It's the macro feature of it I'm kinda scared of using given the horror stories online lol.
My only reason for disabling autostart is that I don't really want the app, It's just that I need the driver from it to prevent my keyboard from doing the STUPID rainbow trout thing and switch over to a solid color :P
