I can't invite my steam friends and they can't join my lobby either
The game simply doesn't allow me to invite my steam friends to the lobby I'm hosting. It doesn't even give me the option "Invite to Lobby" IF they are playing the MCC in that specific moment (see image 1); if they aren't, I can actually invite them (img 2) but the invite doesn't work, it doesn't even give them an error message when they try to use it.
Also, when I mouse over the green "join game" button on the steam profile of a user playing the game, the URL shown in bottom left corner redirects to an invite that allows you to join the lobby he is in (img 3).
On the contrary when I mouse over the same green button on MY profile page when I'm hosting a lobby, the URL is blank (steam://) (img.4). Also also, when I am in a lobby of a friend and I mouse over the "join game" button on MY profile page, the URL is functional (not blank) and allows you to join the lobby my friend is hosting.

I don't wanna make a ticket for this because it looks so stupid, there might be something silly wrong on my end. Does anybody have any idea of what this could be about?

Are they your Xbox Live friends too? If not, change that.

No, they aren't; is that a widespread bug?
Besides that is exactly the point, I'd like people to join my lobby using the beer keg server browser, which goes through the "join game" thing to work.
I don't even think that adding people over xblive other than steam would solve the issue, since it's like the link to the lobby itself is broken.

If you add them on live you can invite through the in-game roster

sorry for necro but I've tried inviting through the in game list, as well as getting invited and no message or notification comes up for either me or my friends also invites and friend requests don't seem to work on the app either?

Turns out that if your in-game lobby privacy is set to “invite only” you actually can’t invite people through steam, which is pretty idiotic if you ask me.

I've noticed that I have it set to friends only, not invite only, I didn't think to check there so thanks might help somebody else out.
