Did you sign in with a Xbox Live account? If so are you sure it isn't a banned account?
Looks like RoadToGetRekt.... in fact Got Rekt themselves. Sign in to Xbox Live just never give anyone your password.
I signed in with an account that i used with my old xbox, it is not a banned account
Just made another account and it let me play, o_O.
Any way to play campaign with a friend?

Try contacting Xbox support. If it's a valid account then something might be wrong with it. Someone could if used it and got the online features banned without you knowing.

Add them on steam then invite them to your lobby.
Nvm, found a way to do it, thanks for help anyways!

For some reason reading is hard for some people.

"Patrick"
it was already turned off... genius
I struggled for hours before finding the solution that worked for me. (Jesus christ xbox makes it convoluted, and the help chat sucked BALLS) For people still having problems, here is what worked for me.
1. Log in with your xbox live account here - https://account.xbox.com/
2. Press your account name\Icon on the top right and press "Xbox Profile"
3. Press "Privacy settings" (in the middle of the screen next to Customize)
4. Switch tabs (right under your account name\picture) to "Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety"
5. Allow most of these options (which were blocked for me)
Allow: Add friends, Join multiplayer games and probably You can play with players outside of Xbox Live. (I just allowed them all just in case).
6. Brew a cup of coffee\walk the dog. It takes a moment from changing until you see an effect (I cried a little when I tried right after changing the settings, and it still didn't work, but I tried again 10 minutes later and it was fine)

NOTE:
Not sure if these extra steps are necessary, I did them before I did the fix above, but if you're still struggling, or if you're not seeing the options above. Do these steps:

1. Change your age to over 18 in microsoft.
(For some reason I had my Birth date as 2009), I couldn't for the life of me find any settings to change, I found the settings after changing my date, this might have been a coincident though
-_(".)_- GUIDE: https://www.wikihow.com/Change-Your-Age-on-Xbox-Live

2. Downloading xbox app from appstore (win 10).
This is probably not necessary, but I did this beforehand, and it prompted a secondary download which stated something in the line of "You are missing some files required to play certain games" then I continued to download these files. (It did not fix my halo problems though, but if none of the steps above has worked for you, you can try this.)

Good luck :)

having the same issue,any solution?
Nice solution but in my case.

For people still having problems, here is what worked for me. call the support xbox line and tell them You can't acess to play multiplayer because the account said

Multiplayer is Not Allowed. The Multiplayer feature is blocked due to your Xbox Live settings. Please make sure you have the correct Xbox Live account and your Family Settings are turned off

I told him and he said if you want I can make a desktop support from my pc to your pc and see whats going on and help you with this problem so I allow him to get in my pc and working with him I use my cellphone to see if the messages of my account and Yes he turn On my setting following him step by step and now I can Play MUltiplayer. 6 months waiting to play my god.
