There is always a bump when a new season is dropped, and every time there is a cry of "Halo Infinite is making a comeback" It might actually be true this time, the jump is certainly larger than season 4's, but it is starting to feel like the boy who cried wolf. If player created content is on the rise thanks to forge that will help sustain their numbers this time. I will point out that according to the steam charts there are still fewer people playing now then when Season 2 dropped. We don't get the precise numbers for X-box players but I think we can assume the ratio's have remained similar.
Hi
Thanks for the video (very instructive)
I never play the original Halo CE and Halo 2; I became a fan only in 2010 when discovered Reach.
You've just offered me 2 additionnal games with a darkest athmosphere (and a flashlight)
:)
So what you're saying is that it's temporary at best.
Infinite. Season 5 had the release of Forge and AI within Forge, allowing users to make as much content as they want and make any game they want within Halo Infinite.
To reply to both of these; again, these problems are due to the differing ages of the games, not necessarily an indicator of how polished or worth playing they are. This is why player numbers really shouldn't be a factor in if you'll enjoy a game or not unless it's so low that the game is unsustainable.
Like I said before, Halo MCC's games are almost all decades old. Very few people are going to be playing the same game, nonstop, for 20 years. There's very few games that have that longevity. On the other hand, Halo Infinite is the newest game in the franchise, while also having a free Multiplayer, meaning that literally anyone can try it out and play it as much as they like.
For a personal example, I absolutely cherish and adore Half-Life. That franchise is the reason why I make a living developing games. However, I'm not going to be playing Half-Life 1 for like, 25 years straight. If I'm to replay it now, it's because I was given an excuse to replay it. Those games are still iconic and worth playing; there may not be a lot of people playing them right now but that doesn't make them any less worth it to play and experience for yourself.
I am saying that the hype train has a track record of being wrong and to give it a couple of months to see if the spike in players is permanent this time or falls off like it has with the previous seasons.
what a waste
what do you mean "map learning"?
Do you mean going back to Mombasa streets as the Rookie between levels? If that is the case you can just go back to main menu and select the next level if you really want to skip it.
5 great games and one alright game, the mods are also very worthwhile.
Also the CE campaign mods are fun to co op in
