To me it makes no difference. So long as MCC is alive and well, that's fine with me.
If the game hasn't been touched in years then yes I would believe that. But I can see for myself that people do not want to see MCC to die.
Now whether or not that is commendable or stupid is for everyone to decide accordingly.
Me, I find the fact that people still shower this game with love and affection simply by playing it to be commendable, as it seems that they too have come to realize that newer video games for the most part just aren't worth getting into if they keep on recycling tropes and formulas that were pioneered in the early 2000s and late 90s.
I recently played a few hours of Infinite again after a break. Had a string of win’s and somewhat challenging players to face. Next day that I played it was a total mess. Kept getting horrible teammates and seemed to only be facing the higher skilled players. Not sure if it was just “one of those days” or not but I immediately switched to MCC 😂
Halo 5 and the other one added to the interface of MCC. idk how Microsoft could pull that off. I hear rumblings of cloud gaming nonetheless, MCC is the true Halo Infinite
Correct. I am pretty sure 343 confirmed a couple years ago that they have no intention of putting 5 on pc, or is that wrong? I would only play it for warzone though.
Yes I believe the company is still making money on their investment for the newest Halo. In addition to having a business strategy that wholly focuses on the newest Halo for the foreseeable future. Why invest resources on something that will not return as much money as their newest product? Personally I loved everything about Halo 5 except the knockdown feature in the campaign. I would likely spend another $60 to play the game through Steam. To me, Infinite misses on a lot. I think the game is ugly in more ways than not.
Microsoft and the companies within are a large ship and do not maneuver fast. Although, with the recent acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft, cloud gaming was mentioned in the courts. By the end of the decade I believe it is feasible for the consumer to expect a portal where we can use a similar interface as MCC. In this portal the user would be able to search for a match of any Call of Duty, Halo, Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, etc. With some limitations of course.
The book and movie Ready Player One is a similar vision to what I see. One of the recent buzzwords was platform. Games like Minecraft, Robolox, and Fortnite are prime examples of portals/platforms.
