Have they stated Lock was in Infinite?
No I was just messin around. At least I hope he isn't.
Talk about the most boring character ever. It's almost like 343 went out of the way to make the most boring character that they possibly could as a joke or something. I wonder if they sat around laughing about it being like "let's make the main character the most monotone and boring character ever and see if the fans notice."
Hahaha.
It just proves that everyone that says Master Chief is a boring character is wrong.
Neither Locke or Chief are all that talkative or have all that many details revealed about them. Yet for some reason everyone loves Cheif and nobody likes Locke. And let me tell you, it has nothign to do with the fact that Locke is black.
The reason is, is that Cheif has a sense of humor.. well atleast in Bungie's games he did. Chief's charm comes from the fact that he only speaks in badass one liners and only speaks if he wants to. It makes him really cool.
Then you have Locke on the other hand who like Chief kinda has the whole "disciplined Spartan" attitude except nothing he says is remotely witty or funny he's as you said no more interesting than a smelly fart.
To be fair, 343 has kind of made Chief as boring as Locke now. He's lost that super badass way about him in favor of just making him wooden. All he does now is provides commentary and direction to his teammates on whatever mission they're on.
No sense of humor, no charming dialogue. No fun.
I'd like to know who wrote Halo 4 and Halo 5. I have a very hard time believing 343 couldn't have found someone that understood how to write good Master Chief dialogue.
Everyone loves Buck so much. I think he's ok. The way people used to go on about him though made me have such high expectations when I played ODST the first time.
Buck is ok... but honestly kinda overrated.
I'm happy I have a good gaming rig as most next gen games are all going to be on PC. So if playstation has a new game coming out that I just can't resist I'll just get it on PC.
I'll likely just end up buying Halo Infinite for PC as well.
But if I wasn't a PC gamer I'd force myelf to wait for the Xbox Series X just because I do belive it will end up being the superior console once Microsoft does tap into it's full potential. If people could just be patient enough, eventually it will pay off. A couple years from now all the PS5 owners are going to be wishing they bought a series X.
That, and I literally can't stand the playstation controllers. Xbox has always killed Sony in terms of controllers. People may think it's not that big of a deal but I think it's a massive deal how the controller feels.
Playing an FPS with the Xbox controller has always managed to somehow feel right. Playing FPS games witth a playstation controller has just never felt right to me. I just can't stand sony's analog sticks.
Lol no.
Go away.
And you managed to top it op, congrats!
Locke isnt even a character, hes a walking mcguffin to keep the plot thread running. Its like asking for that butthurt captain from 4 to come back.
Hell Tartarus, the big dumb gibbon from 2 had more actual personality and impact then locke did.
On the surface it may seem unfair to chief to have him constantly be the hero each time humanity faces a threat but then once you remember thats what chief was raised from childhood to be it seems a little less odd. In a way, its all he knows.
Agreed. At least for one game. I think we need at least one game with Arbiter as the player character. The characterisation of the Covenant went backwards after Halo 3. They're back to being a human-hating pack of malevolent baddies.
Also a fine choice.
Keith David. Or maybe that's just me.
If 343 does an Arbiter game, they can't switch his VA. Don't get cheap on us 343.
