Halo CE sutck at %100 of 7.9GB
I am trying to play this with my little bro. I had to uninstall it a while back to free up some space, but for whatever reason it refuses to install.

>I open MCC
>click on Halo CE
>go to start the campaign
>"Missing Content"
>go to the manage installed games screen
>I select the campaign for CE and accept selection
>leave it alone for thirty minutes, and come back
>"Missing Content"
>Go to manage installed games
>Halo CE is stuck at %100 of 7.9GB
>Leave it alone for another thirty minutes
>"Missing Content"
>Game doesn't even say %100 of 7.9GB on the manage installed games screen
>Close game and reopen it
>"Missing Content"
>Restart computer
>"Missing Content"
>Uncheck and recheck DLC in Steam properties window
"Missing Content"

I have plenty of space on my SSD, there is no reason it shouldn't be installing. It seems this problem is very case by case and MCC hates everyone in their own special way because no solution I find here or anywhere else fixes this issue.

It's best to manage which campaigns you have installed via the DLC screen on the game's library page. Try doing it that way by checking the box manually.

As I said, I did exactly that with no results.
did you try to clear steam's download cache? it sounds like steam download is broken.

I had the same issue with Yakuza Ishin.
Game is around 50gb but and i had enough free space on my SSD (like 90) but it was always stuck at like 80%. I uninstalled multiple times and it still wasn't installing.

What fixed it for me was deleting even more stuff from my SSD.

also try to verify game cache, seems like you havent tried it.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I did indeed do that several times.

Have you tried uninstalling the game and then deleting the MCC folder in Steam?

I ended up having to just reinstall MCC completely. I'm not sure if installing games from the manage installed games screen will work (and I'll have an update on that later) but I did make a few discoveries.

Even if you have the hard drive space supposedly required for the game, in this case Halo: CE, that still might not be enough. What I had installed before nuking the whole thing were the H2A and ODST campaigns.

After I uninstalled MCC and tried reinstalling it with only the content I wanted, that being, H2A, ODST and CE, steam told me there wasn't enough hard drive space for the download. I actually needed almost 20 MORE GIGS for a fresh install. VERY confusing as I had LITERALLY just uninstalled the equivalent of two games that didn't require that much space.

CE worked after reinstalling but I have no idea why the game wouldn't just TELL ME I needed more than 7.9 GB (I had 18GB free on my SSD at the time where MCC was installed.) If that even was the case.
I HAD previously moved my install folder from another drive so this was potentially a contributing factor.
