Re read the post. You can boot cheaters. Simple as. (this is very obvious btw, unlike yours, which was just "kind of")
Others in the community; we should make more posts about this so devs (or other modders) are aware of the potential for any method that provides easy access to modded custom lobbies. This would significantly help the longevity and health of the community
Based on how the CGB has been neglected with missing key features, they're not going to bother doing more work to make EAC and Modding compatible. But I can only assume you don't play much on the CGB, because "just kick them" doesn't work when you're not host and the host is being being AFK, not caring, or being the one cheating.
You can "raise awareness" all you'd like about the benefits, but 343i has proven to us they don't really give a damn about the state of the game or it's longevity. All they care about are their bastardizations of Halo, and their failing Infinite. There's a reason we're missing key parts of this game, like Split Screen and a working Co-op.
When I attempted to boot them using the pause menu, the boot was redirected to another player; I am 100% sure that I had the cheater's username selected.
