I heavily disagree it's harder in Co-op. If you have good synergy with your mates, you can set up assassinations you'd never manage to do Solo, saving a LOT of ammo. This is doubly important in H2, Reach and H4 against Knights. Having an understanding of how the Skulls change around the Aggro table can let you take down Elites when normally you'd have to peashooter them down.
I did Co-op the whole way through LASO, and it was a blast. I certainly beg to differ that it wasn't fun.
this is correct. doing them solo is the best way. Glitches and tricks that are used might not work in multiplayer.
always watch someone beating the level on LASO before you attempt it. they might be using glitches you dont know about.
what kind of glitches? skip sections, despawn enemies etc.
Halo Completionist goes into detail about these and there's plenty of information in the comment section under his videos that discusses any issues in Multiplayer and how to overcome them.
There's really only a couple tricks here or there that won't work in Co-op, but at the same time, it's very rare that matters with how loading in your partners functions across "loading" and "Checkpoints". At the same time there's quite a few sections that are vastly easier having another player, if not more.
Sounds like you had bad teammates more then "LASO is easier in Solo".
Having a bad teammate is not the fault of LASO.
