Halo reach zoom function

Hi all,

I've just started playing, first Halo game. Is it normal for the zoom function to zoom out as soon as you shoot with the rifles? It's very annoying. I am not being shot at and it still does it. I am using right click on the mouse.

Ah, looks like I've answered my own question - apparently what this is, is not a gun zoom but a helmet zoom that doesn't function when shooting for some weird reason. Weird, but OK.

yeah, none scoped weapons dont have an actual zoom function till Halo 5. though not like it matters Halo was kinda designed around not needing to aim down sights. funny story kinda, when i was younger i used to play mainly halo, so when I finally got a CoD game (WaW) i remember being so annoyed by the fact that i had to ads all the time to pretty much make my gun accurate

should only be for the AR and shotgun in CE, and the smg also does it added in halo 2 and 3, non scoped weapons dont link with the smarthud in the helmet they only offer a cross air. only precision weapons have scope overlays anything else basically gives you binoculars.

also note you descope if you get shot, this is top prevent hardscoping mostly but also i think has an in law reason
