I think it was only a game option when HDR was still new...
Eye-searing visual effects and low quality faces aside, the gameplay is quite fun in Halo 3.
Yeah, am I being unfair?
Is it objectively wrong to say that graphics of Half-Life 2, Crysis 1 and Halo 4 look more aesthetically pleasing than Halo 3?
From what I've played Halo 4 multiplayer so far, it's graphics look so much cleaner with HDR not being as intrusive and bloom not turning any light source into a permanent counter-strike flash-bang on your screen.
Halo 1 and 2 original graphics aged amazingly well, while Halo 3 looks godawful.
It's ok to be nostalgic, and Halo 3 has amazing gameplay, so I am not trying to take away your childhood memories or anything like that, I just freaking hate how the game looks when you are fighting in-doors.
I played ODST and Reach in multiplayer firefights and this issue seems to be localized to only Halo 3 for some reason.
At least in Halo 4 it's not so dark in the middle of the room so that you can't even see were enemies are because HDR is freaking out.
And what is wrong with my profile?
Oh, you mean leaving your laptop on while a game is running is insane? lol.
