I have finally found the fix for “UE4-MCC Fatal Error” game crash. Please follow the given instructions carefully.
Open Steam.
Place your cursor on Library and click on Home.
From the list on the left side, click on Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
On the right side, there will be a gear/settings icon, click on that.
Select Properties.
In the General tab, click on Set Launch Options.
In the space given, type this: -windowed
Click OK and close properties afterwards.
Now click on Play.
This is run the game WITHOUT the “UE4-MCC fatal error”
Although, it may initially run in a very small window. No need to worry at all.
Let the game load as usual, then from the main menu go to options > video > then change the resolution as per your need.
NOTE: DONOT run the game on Fullscreen mode, as it crashes the game immediately. There may/may not be issues with the borderless mode, but the
Window mode works just fine.
I have a 1600x900 monitor, so I set the resolution for the same and I’m running on Window mode only. And I can’t even tell the difference as it takes up the whole screen. And I’ve had Zero crashes with the window mode.
ENJOY"
