Can't play because of sign in
Hello
I appear to be stuck in an endless loop at signing into my microsoft account when launching the game, let me explain :
I tried to log in with the wrong email adress when I first launch the game, an email adress that DOES NOT have any microsoft account linked to it. And now the game is trying to verify this mail, without success since I do not receive any code or notification in the mailbox...

And it appears there is NO WAY to change the email you try to log in with. No return button, absolutely no way to try any other account until this verification is completed, and that cannot be done since I have no Microsoft Account with this mail.
(Well I suppose I do not since I'm not receiving any verification email from microsoft in this email)

Ideally I would like to reset the log in window back to when I can enter any mail I want to connect, but I tried re-installing the game and deleting the save files of Halo MCC, with no success.

Any suggestion ?

You could try deleting the Steam App Cache in case halo is storing your "wrong" email there. I don't know if this would work but it may be worth a try. I'm having an issue with a different game at the moment and the only apparent solution is to delete this folder (App Cache) every time I boot up before launching steam.

Good idea, but sadly it did not do the trick... The login informations is probably stored elsewhere.
it was worth the try tho, thanks.

Sorry it didn't work. The issue I have is that Apex legends won't close and is even still running after a full pc reboot and so deleting that folder sorts it. There may be a specific halo cache where the email address is stored but I wouldn't know where to look for it. Good luck with it though.

Go to Credentials Manager in Control Panel and delete "Xbl|DeviceKey" in the Windows Credentials tab.

Tried that already, I did it again to be sure, also tried with EVERY Credential deleted.
Does not work, the game is still trying to log on the wrong email, and the credentials are re-created.

Hi !
Finally I found the solution !!!

"Navigate to your local AppData's webcache folder at C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\LocalLow\MCC\Saved\webcache

Alternatively, paste this into your explorer window bar: %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\MCC\Saved\webcache

Delete all files in this location

Launch the game"

In my anger I deleted the whole "MCC" files, but I think you do not need to do so.
for god sake, Microsoft is such a stupid and incompetent company.
