If it does, I believe that having filters to include servers that have console, pc, or both, along with filters for controller, mouse, or both are necessary to minimize loud mouth brats about how bad of an idea putting this on pc is (and, you know, not dealing with hackers if you don't want to. That's pretty much what console is for: avoiding hackers. :^ ) )
However, my main concern is that steam-windows store cross compatibility. I really, REALLY hope they don't screw this up. Then again... We did get Halo 5.... :/
99% of people will buy it on steam
Cross-play between the windows store and steam version is important for long-term playerbase.
Would also allow me to reconnect with old friends who went different ways in 2013.
Look at Rocket League. The best thing with that game is the borderless, cross-platform nature, opening up a much larger playerbase.
I also just remembered another fiasco: Tekken 7 on steam. NOT cross compatible with console versions. For no reason at all.
Halo wars 1 didn't let you play with Windows store players.
However it didn't use a Windows account login, which mcc on Steam does.
i dont know if they will want to add cross platform to an fps. keyboard and mouse will anhilate all the console players. but i guess they could have an option for console only players or cross platform.
